Matthew Dorothy, CEO
Matthew currently serves as CEO and Board Member of the InnPro group of companies, helping guide the Leadership Team and Strategic Processes.
Since the company's inception, Matthew has transitioned through several roles, beginning the journey as external legal counsel for the group in 2015, later joining as in-house General Counsel in 2016. Additionally, Matthew helped guide the company's financial team and system development for several years as Chief Financial Officer.
As part of the company's succession process, he transitioned to the role of CEO beginning in early 2022. Matthew is currently responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the InnPro organization, driving the company's vision, mission, and overall business strategy.
As CEO Matthew focuses on servant leadership, fostering a positive corporate culture, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring operational excellence across all businesses within the organization.
Before joining InnPro, Matthew practiced law in the areas of corporate law, M&A, succession planning, and wealth and estate planning. Earlier in his career, he also practiced accounting and financial advisement in the areas of tax planning, financial systems, and business operational and strategic planning.
Matthew has a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota, an MBA from the University of Sioux Falls, and a Bachelor of Arts from Augustana University.
In addition to the daily norm, Matthew enjoys time with family and friends, travel, and dedicating his free time to Board of Director work, and community non-profit volunteerism. He has helped build houses with Habitat for Humanity, provided legislative lobbying assistance at state and federal levels, he has sat on or acted in a leadership capacity with several boards and committees, and he has provided numerous hours of pro-bono business and legal services over his career.
Seth Foster, President of Innovation & Business Development
Seth plays an integral role in successfully transitioning from concept, to startup, to near immediate profitability, with revenue conversion in the millions of dollars per year with positive cash flow. He is a current patent holder with several others waiting to be awarded and filed.
Seth coordinates most day-to-day operations, leads the team’s innovation efforts, as well as management of all sales efforts.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix; along with accreditations as a Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT) and Certified Sports Performance Nutritionist (CSPN).
Seth's passion for a healthy lifestyle propels him to develop and promote natural and organic products that are, “good for the body, mind, and planet”.
Don Crank, Guru of Research & Technology
Don has 40 years’ experience crafting plant-based proteins for food, animal, and industrial uses, including soy, whey, milk, yeast, peas, hempseed, pumpkin, watermelon, sunflower, and other proteins derived from oilseeds, grains, pulses, legumes, and ancient grains.
He has a background in process design, product development, and plant engineering coupled with practical business knowledge which enables him to translate technical processes into financial and operational models with real-time control systems.
Don is responsible for pioneering innovative production methods in the food industry, including 3 patents with others pending.
He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri Rolla.
Tim Foster, Guru of Engineering
Tim has multiple experiences in manufacturing and professional settings, including Active Corporate Founder and VP of Engineering, Project Management, Strategic Planning and Implementation Management, Corporate Engineering, Information Technology Management, and was the Director of Public Works for the Municipal Government.
He holds three U.S. patents, one of which is the result of product package design.
Tim studied Mechanical Engineering at Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Amy Claren, Vice President of Operations
Amy Claren started with InnPro at its inception in 2015 as the Office Manager. Her “team player” attitude and ability to wear multiple hats has helped InnPro grow to where it is today.
For the last 5 years, Amy has been the Director of Operations and has recently earned herself the title of VP of Operations.
Amy’s attention to detail, organization, communication, and leadership skills have proven valuable in managing the daily activities to keep InnPro running smoothly.
Amy leads a team focused on growing revenue and enhancing the food industry with innovative products by developing and implementing solutions that push boundaries and provide efficiencies company-wide.
Amy earned her AAS degree from University of WI-Fox Valley followed later by an AS-Nursing degree from WITCC, Sioux City IA. Prior to earning her AS-Nursing degree, Amy worked in the food manufacturing space for nearly 5 years for a company that had Annual Sales more than $30M.
Hallie Salmen, Vice President of Finance
Hallie is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting for the company.
She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Dakota in 1997 and earned a C.P.A. in 2001.
Before joining InnPro, Hallie worked for 5 years as the CEO/Executive Director for a senior living community that was home to more than 250 residents. She worked as the CFO for the same organization for the previous 15 years.
Hallie has experience in management, financial reporting, finance, public accounting & auditing, human resources, and compliance.
Shawn Olsen, Director of HR
Shawn’s expertise is in Human Resources, but what he enjoys most is Leadership and Organizational Development, and has experience in Plant HR, Staffing/Recruiting, and Compensation.
With a Master’s in HR, Shawn has been fortunate to have worked across the U.S. in several industries including food manufacturing, construction, and consumer manufacturing.
As part of HR, he strives to provide support that engages employees and managers to effectively contribute to a stronger team.
Craig Hunt, Director of Operations and Engineering- Galesburg
Craig is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities in the Operations and Engineering departments to develop new capital projects that accomplish specific goals of the company.
Craig focuses on day-to-day management of capital, maintenance, and start-up projects to meet specifications within time and budget constraints.
He fosters innovative solutions to improve safety, product quality, operating efficiencies, cost reduction, operational reliability, and new product implementation at the Galesburg, Moorhead, and future facilities.
Kysa Hagemann, HR Business Partner
Kysa oversees all HR functions including recruiting, selection, training, management, compensation, benefits, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.
She has a strong HR background in a variety of industries including education, food service management, manufacturing, and agriculture; and has a Master’s Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in HR from Briar Cliff University.
Kysa is passionate about the HR field as it allows her to create meaningful and lasting relationships, learn new things, solve complex problems, and impact people’s working lives for the better – even in small ways.
Cody Niebuhr, Plant Manager - Galesburg
Cody is responsible for overseeing plant operations along with overseeing cross-function of all departments.
Before joining InnPro, Cody worked as a Project manager and Vice President for 2 years in maintenance, project management, and operations for an engineering company. He worked 10 years for the same company as a Site Superintendent.
Cody has experience in management, maintenance, project management, project estimation, sales, quality assurance, and employee development.
Glenn Urlacher, Plant Manager - Moorhead
Glenn has an associate degree in Farm and Ranch Management from Dickinson State University in 1981, and a Business Management degree from the University of Mary in 2001.
Glenn has worked in the ag industry for 35 plus years and is the plant manager in Moorhead, MN.
Justin Harlan, Operations Manager
Justin is responsible for day-to-day operations. He works closely with all upper management, QA, shift supervisors, and all team members to be sure that our company is providing a safe and consistent work environment while producing quality products.
Justin also works closely with outside contractors on projects to be sure we are installing new equipment properly and making them ergonomically friendly.
Alex Hall, Production Manager
Alex brings 6 years of food manufacturing management experience to the InnPro team in Galesburg, Illinois. As production manager, he is responsible for overseeing the production process, continuous improvement, project management, and safety. Alex has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Knox College and has had the benefit of working in many different sectors throughout his career. In addition to food manufacturing, his experience includes high school advising, higher education, international aid, and transportation.
Mike Larkin, Process Engineer
Mike is the new Process Engineer for the Galesburg facility.
He has 23 years of experience in manufacturing; working for such companies as Energizer Battery, Kawasaki Motors, and Vermeer.
Mike’s focus will include project management, process improvements, and cost reductions.
Justin Armstrong, Warehouse Manager
Justin is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operations of two warehouses, one at the Galesburg plant facility the other at an offsite location.
He assists with inventory control as well as providing support for the production floor at the plant.
In his off time, he is an avid musician and metal head.
He has experience in management, production, food safety, and warehouse operations.
Mike Slagel, Maintenance Manager
Mike is responsible for overseeing facilities, utilities, and production maintenance.
Before joining InnPro, Mike worked for 8 years in maintenance management for a construction/maintenance contractor. He worked for 15 years as a maintenance mechanic.
Mike has experience in management, equipment operation, equipment troubleshooting, pipe fitting, boilers, air compressors, electrical, and asset management.
Laura Hallen, Office Manager
Laura is a master multi-tasker; she is part of the Leadership Team, arranges offsite Team Building quarterly meetings, provides HR Support, works with outside vendors on multiple projects, coordinates office management, fulfills sample requests, and organizes creative potlucks and team events.
She also manages Salesforce, KnowBe4 trainings, and our swag store companywide.
Before joining InnPro, she managed a frame shop in Minneapolis for 25 years.
Candi Mueller, Training and Development Administrator
Candi is responsible for the training and development process at the Galesburg facility.
Candi has developed a training program in quality assurance that will ensure operators and supervisors understand the process and equipment of production.
Candi started at InnPro in 2021 and has grown with InnPro moving from an operator to a supervisor and is now the plant’s Training and Development Administrator.
Michelle Mickelson, Inventory Control Manager
Michelle tracks all raw inventory coming into all our facilities from receiving and transfers them through the production consumption process.
Michelle approves the production labels for our production plants and makes all journal entries/credit memos for any breakage/damaged materials whether they be raw or finished.
Marco Garcia, QA Supervisor
Marco Garica came to InnPro after 28 years in the restaurant industry working every job from dishwasher to Executive Chef. He has 30 years of food safety training.
As a chef Garcia strived to consistently make quality dishes in a timely manner. He won six Golden Fork awards in three years of competition.
In 2020 the restaurant industry bottomed out due to COVID-19 and he needed a new path, he then started in the food production industry as a Quality Assurance technician. He found this transition worked very well, with his background in food safety; Marco continues to provide top quality products for InnPro in 2023 and into the future.
Enedina Hope, QA Coordinator
Enedina collaborates with the quality teams from our various processing facilities to ensure our company's quality assurance standards and procedures are being met.
She ensures that our customers receive the most current and accurate regulatory documentation and provides leadership that our products and services meet the highest level of quality.
Kelly Mackeprang, Purchasing Manager & ERP Administrator
As Purchasing Manager, Kelly oversees the purchases of raw and processing materials, packaging and maintenance, repair, operation, and capital purchases.
She plans and forecasts raw material levels, purchases, and contract amounts, by working closely with Production Planning, Inventory and Logistics departments.
As ERP Administrator, Kelly works with an internal team to implement an ERP system and will continue to maintain, monitor, develop and train employees on ERP.
